Nationwide Financial publishes research for advisers on what the yield curve says about where the economy is heading. It is useful thinking that is hard to make vivid on a page. This companion app used augmented reality to lift the idea off the paper: point a phone or tablet at a flat surface and a miniature city appears, ringed by the four phases of the business cycle, from recovery through mid and late expansion to recession.
